Mark your calendars for next year's Dash Down Division on Saturday, February 22, 2014!

Conratulations and thanks to all who came out on Saturday, February 23, 2013 to run in the second annual Dash Down Division 5K Run/Walk and first annual miniDASH Kids' Fun Run!

The family-friendly race featured a course that runs down Division Avenue, along Plaster Creek Trail and Garfield Park, and through the surrounding Alger Heights neighborhood. Check out photos from the race HERE.

Race Participants Receive:

• Chip timing
• Moisture-wicking t-shirt 
• Kroc Center Day Pass (for future visit) 
• Childcare for runners with children ($5 charge per child) 
• Awards for age group winners 
• Door prizes
• Food and refreshments
• Race photography

Children under 12 who finish the 5K course receive a five-visit punch card to the Kroc Center. The shorter-distance miniDASH kids' fun run takes place outside (weather permitting). 

Dash Down Division and the miniDASH kids' fun run are co-hosted by The Salvation Army Kroc Center and Grand Rapids Parks & Recreation. Proceeds from the Dash Down Division are used to support the recreation scholarship fund for local children who live at or below the poverty level.
